Portishead

We seemed to spend most of the day on the M5, along with every other motorist in the country, driving home from the chalet. Our usual three hour journey took twice as long.

This did included a stop off at Portishead, a small town between Clevedon and Bristol on the river Avon. We went in search of coffee and to look at the impressive development around the marina. The former was found overlooking the water in an Irish Italian bar/restaurant. We walked around the marina before resuming our journey. This picture was taken at the huge lock leading from the river into the harbour (it was low tide).
