Baltimore Oriole

We returned to the Rail Trail at Station Road today after a few days. A pair of Baltimore Orioles have built a nest high over the trail. The nest is shrouded by leaves and the birds stayed high--so this view of a male was the best I got to blip.

Otherwise we discovered a nest which eastern kingbirds are constructing high in a dead tree--I blipped an eastern kingbird several days ago; I got a couple of shots of the new nest, but I'll wait for a decent blip--at least this nest is not hidden by leaves, and it's conveniently close to the parking area.
