Bournemouth

Today was the beginning of a very fun girls weekend away in Bournemouth, a beach town south west of London. After I treated myself to breakfast, I met the girls at Waterloo station for our 2 hour train trip there. Upon arriving we checked into our hotel for the night, which amusingly had a a totally retro music theme to it and was completely decked out in music memorabilia. After a late lunch we had a relaxing afternoon wandering around the town, shopping and sipping 2 for 1 cocktails. Then it was back to the hotel to shower, drink some more and get ready for our first night out.

After a drink at a cool little bar we moved on to a club we were told was 'the place to be on a Thursday night only to find a room full of skinny underage girls and one direction look a likes. We headed to the upstairs section where we approached the bar and proceeded to ask the bartender where else we could go because everyone at this place "looks twelve", little did we know that the only other man standing at the bar was the owner! He gave us a couple of free drinks and shots and guaranteed us that if waited an hour, the crown would get bigger and slightly older. He was kind of telling the truth. The night was a lot of fun, even though it was not at all my typical scene, but I think a good night out is more reliant on the people you are out with rather than where you are. Saying that, at one point I saw a guy wearing a tight blue suit high five another guy in a suit with a FUR COLLAR.

After dancing the night away, we got to bed in the early hours of the morning, exhausted and happy.
