Rome in grey

Did the tourist thing in Rome today: Colisseum, Palatine, Forum. The sun was overtaken by dark clouds and by midday it was warmly drizzling.

The crowds were oppressive, coming to a ridiculous climax outside the Pantheon, which was closed.

I struck off north, and found some less populous piazzas and roundabouts. I particularly liked this one, just to the north of Prati.

Back to my garret via the supermarket for a last supper. And a free gelati from mine host.
