Bramble

I spent this morning with a group of other botanists at Dogsthorpe Star Pit - it's the first time for ages that my leg has felt good enough to be sure I could keep up. Although the weather was rather dull and grey, we had an excellent time and recorded quite a few species that haven't been formally recorded sonce 2000. There wasn't really time for photography, and this image of the first bramble blossom of the season was snatched on the way back to the car. I left early, as I hadn't tasken a picnic lunch, and still had some cleaning and tidying in preparation for the return of the weary travellers tomorrow night.
