On The Town

This time of year we tend to be more hermit-like than others. It is humid throughout the day, too hot for the beach, few people with which to socialize, and little going on. Tonight we vowed to break out of our usual home-body mode. The happening spot on Sunday evenings is always the basketball court downtown, it serves as Zihua's Zocalo. The town turns out in force, dressed in their Sunday best, and walks around enjoying a variety of foods, activities, and almost always some form of entertainment. We arrived a bit too early for most festivities, so headed to a small coffee shop on the pedestrian walkway in which a friend works part-time. Here we could sit enjoying an iced Frappuccino (well the Zihua version) and watch people arrive for the fun.
