Gillipaw's Journal

Sunset over Glasgow : 3.25 pm

One of my "Blipfoto Followers" is witness to the fact that I dashed outside with no coat or gloves on, -7.5C, to take this shot. Foggy all day, then I saw this spectacular sunset.

As I took it, the words of one of my all-time favourite songs came to mind, sung as a duet by Elton John and George Michael :-

Don't let the sun go down on me
although I search myself, it's always someone else I see.
I'd just allow a fragment of your life to wander free.
But losing ev'rything is like the sun going down on me.

(Songwriters Elton John and Bernie Taupin)
