Midnight in the garden of Keith & Jan

A long day today as we travelled home to Sweden. Final packing and goodbyes, drive to Manchester, fly to Stockholm, drive the 5 hours north to Härnösand and home, unpack, eat, water flowers and finally go to bed.
Our part of Sweden is definitely in summer now, rather than spring. The white nights have arrived with no darkness and no stars anymore - dusk merges into dawn without passing night. The sun sinks beneath the horizon and rolls along, just out of sight but marking its presence, for 4 hours before popping up into sight once more. It gets even less dark until midsummer, 21 June, the shortest night.
This photo was taken from home, at 23:58, with about 90 seconds of 2 June left.
