Long time no see

It had been ages since I'd seen Bertie and Sammy and their mistress, so I was delighted to join them this afternoon for a long walk in the Garadbhan Forest overlooking Loch Lomond. The sky was very overcast, but it stayed dry.

Earlier I tweaked a recipe of Jamie Oliver's to make a batch of butternut squash soup, which D#1 and I had for lunch along with a wrap. The soup was tasty enough, but frankly I think I get a better result when I chuck in the leftovers from the fridge.

This evening we're off to the launch of John Gordon Sinclair's second novel, "Blood Whispers", in the village of Drymen. It's been organised by Christina and hosted by Stirling Council.
