Aperture on Life

Metamorphosis

No insects as they develop today but lambs.

I now have four masked bandits. It's amazing how quickly the lambs faces are changing now. Rocky is now seven weeks old. I stopped giving him his bottle earlier this week. He bleated painfully for a couple of days but I've been giving him m a handful of lamb nuts to replace the milk, which seems to have done the trick.

Herdwicks are born black with only a smidgen of white or ginger. As they grow their colour mutates into their typical white heads and legs. It won't be long now before they will be unrecognisable from their baby selves. Helga, although she wouldn't feed Rocky, is still very much his educator.

A future blip will have to be of the lambs terrorising the dogs. They chase them all over the paddock and have learnt to butt hard when they catch up!
