Ox-eye daisies

A busy day of meetings, followed by a brief few minutes of peace and quiet in the rock garden at Preston Park as I was cycling home. I like the big ox-eye daisies; they line the road verges in Sussex at this time of year and seem to me almost symbolic of the place. These, allowed to grow wild in the park, were resplendent in the late afternoon sun.
