Purple Robe Locust

We planted this lovely tree in our lower yard several years ago and the past two years it has bloomed terrifically. The butterflies and bees love it. When I was looking up the correct name of it (Robinia Pseudocacia) I came across an article by a woman listing reasons why she would never plant one in her garden. Uh oh! We'll see - primarily it is because they seed quickly and she spent a lot of time cutting them along her property line and in her garden.

Another gorgeous day. Went to an auction and flea market in the morning that benefits a local school (came home with someone else's castoffs), did some gardening in the afternoon, and now we are preparing to go do some grocery shopping. Mr M is hurrying me along because he is ready to go and I am not.
