Digging (in) the lasagna

Well, almost the end of three weeks away from work... Tomorrow I will have my regular part-time day, but Tuesday I'll be back in the office. To some it may sound crazy, but I like my job so I'm looking forward to it.

So, let's recap... In the first week, Nienke had chickenpox. In the second week and the third week, Ellis was and still is having her ears infected. Today it's Inge's turn: she definitely is having chickenpox too! Fortunately, there was also lots of positive stuff going on. We had a great Christmas and overall a lot of fun during these three weeks.

Today we were going to visit relatives who live in a small village called Westeremden. There was a lot of snow last night, but it didn't seem too bad. So we packed all the stuff we needed to take (you won't believe how much that is, one would think we were going on a two week vacation) and we were all set when the phone rang: there were piles of snow up to one metre high and there was just no way we could ever reach Westeremden. Nienke was so disappointed, but in situations like these we're not going to take any chances... Since it continued snowing all day, there was not much opportunity to take pictures.

My wife made some great lasagna today. Much to our surprise, Ellis liked it a lot. At some point, she started digging in the lasagna with her hands, leading to todays blip. Dinner can be fun with three young kids!
