Hot, Hot, Hot

One thousand and one, in a strange way it feels like starting anew!

This week we have guests staying with us, they arrived yesterday on the lunchtime hydrofoil and will be here until the end of the week. The change in routine gave rise to a very lazy morning on my part. Although I was up earlier than usual, I spent the first five hours of the day doing this and that or not very much.

Lunch down at the lake. Lots of activity on the lake. The jetty next to the bar (not the one in the photograph, was very busy with people arriving by boat for lunch and or ice-creams. Almost a traffic jam.

Today has undoubtedly been the hottest day since our arrival, 30 degrees during the day, but still about 28 degrees at 9pm this evening. Not one of my more energetic days apart from preparing the BBQ this evening.

Exciting moment in the early evening when we saw a helicopter taking off from Richard Branson's villa. It is about three hundred yards away as the crow or helicopter fly. He rents out the villa for a price that would make hiring a helicopter seem like small change, I doubt very much it was the man himself, maybe he has a tenant this week. We also saw a seaplane landing to go to one of the local hotels. Picking up or putting down a passenger we don't know.
