From there to here.

We left Grace and John very happy in their new home after a great fun and busy long weekend with them. They wanted me to take this shot complete with boxes as I took a similar one in their flat on the day they moved in there about three years ago. The chair belonged to John's Granny so it had to be used again, the only real difference was they were wearing woolly hats then as it was November.

We had a message from our son whilst we were away that the sold sign had gone up on his house so I went up this morning to take this shot. It is a 19 th century cottage at the top of our village on Long Lane which is my ' One street'. It is a perfect single man's pad for when he comes home on leave and it seems amazing that both my children are buying their first home in the same year despite being away from home for 12 and 14 years respectively.

No doubt there will be jobs to do here before long, not least removing the weeds from the front garden!

A salutary lesson: I had a panic last night when I tried to down load pictures onto my i Pad nothing happening! I assumed the worst as whilst sitting in the chair Grace and John are in here the iPad dropped on to the floor with quite a band as it is hard wood awaiting sanding and sealing. All seemed well but my first thought was I had done some damage preventing the download from my SD card. So today it has been taken to an Apple specialist in Bradford. As everything else worked I was hopeful that it would be a case of buying a new SD adapter. Better than that it was blocked by a bit of foil! As we have been away it has been in a pocket in my handbag where I often carry a strip of tablets just in case and this is obviously a bit of foil that has remained in the bottom of the pocket after removing a tablet! The lady said thy have had this before. So no big bill thank fully just a bit of embarrassment and relief!
