Broken

Still a common sight in christchurch. I work a bit with people who buy damaged properties to put tenants in. These properties are deemed "uneconomical to repair" meaning they would be better off bowling them and starting over. But people are able to take a cash settlement on the house and sell it at approximately land value only to a game buyer. They look scary but generally they're structurally sound... Unless there's another big one....then who knows!
Had to scope out this property for an out of town buyer today. The conclusion was that it's pretty buggered, but that won't stop him.

I used to be terrified going into these houses, now it's just another day on the job. I don't see how they're any more dangerous than a poorly maintained old cottage.
