Cape Jackson.

Finally, I have been through Cape Jackson. Very uneventful in the end, with a 15 knot wind, and little sea, it was just about calm. We had left home in low cloud and a drizzle, but by the time we got to the outer Sounds, it had lifted. Not sunshine, but at least no rain.
We went through, and then turned back shortly after wards, as we didn't want to get caught on the Queen Charlotte Sound side of Cape Jackson, as the forecast was saying it would rise to 30 knot winds by the next day. We headed back, and went into Port Gore, and the boat sat right over the wreck of the Mikhail Lermontov. M showed us where the old gold mine had been out there too, what a miserable place to try and mine gold or anything else.
From there we headed to a fishing spot and got some blue cod for our dinner. Can't beat fish that is freshly caught. Spent the night on the homeward side of Allen Strait. Rained heavily during the night.
