Ploughing a Lone Furrow

Another busy day in central London, with heaving crowds of people in every direction as far as the eye could see. It was good to get home early again this afternoon to enjoy the gorgeous sunny evening. The clanking sound of agricultural machinery greeted me as I put the car away. The long grass in Mr Turner's field, which can be seen from my window, was being mown for hay and the man in the tractor was doing a lovely neat job. He soon finished, and I was left to breathe in the peace and beauty alone. I revel in my own company, and like to go my own way and be different from the crowd- alone but never lonely.
