Costco

The most unpleasant shopping experience in America. (SOOC)

What is there not to like?

Shopping carts big enough to hold a small car.
Garish lighting. Crowded aisles. Acres of concrete floors.
Merchandise that, if you want to go home and think about it overnight, is gone the next morning when you return to purchase it.
Situated in a location that is inconvenient no matter where you live. (Think of Tasmania.)
They don't take Visa or Mastercard.
Quantities are humongous. Wine by the dozen, beef by the side.

But sometimes the prices are irresistible.
Today, 1,600 sheets of 24-lb. printer paper for less than a penny a page.
Now I can print 500-page drafts without running out of paper.

Oh, the sacrifices I make for my writing. ;-)
