Albertine

Albertine is a great rambling rose, with massive stems, IMPRESSIVE thorns, gorgeous flowers and heady fragrance. Dark salmon-red buds open to deep pink flowers which fade to near white. It’s a once bloomer, but generous to a fault, with large clusters of the luxurious double flowers which last well when cut. Did I mention the wafting fragrance? This Wichurana hybrid rose was developed in 1921 by Rene Barbier in Orleans, France and won the 1993 Award of Garden Merit from the Royal Horticultural Society.
