Tibetan Primrose

Commonly called the Tibetan Primrose or the Giant Cowslip, this is Primula Florindae, a fragrant top knot of dangling bell flowers atop a two foot stem. These have formed small colonies in a couple of damp beds in the garden and along the stream. They are especially welcome when they seed near the entry paths as their fragrance greets visitors to the house and studio. They are starting to bloom now and will keep up the show until September.
