Third Year Abroad

By LittleLots

Took a break from revision to go to a free Radio Italia concert that was taking place in the piazza del Duomo. Or that was the plan anyway, until we got there and realised how packed it was, we couldn't even get into the piazza properly and decided that it was probably not worth the effort to listen to terrible Italian pop, even if it was free. So instead we ended up being driven around Milan by an Italian friend of a friend. As no one could decide what to do we literally went everywhere, so thats how we ended up here at Porta Garibaldi home to the UniCredit building - Milan's tallest. A very different part of Milan too, although not far from the centre at all, it reminds me more of a tiny version of Bank in London. Not at all Italian in style. After a bit of a wander we headed back in the car to go for pizza at this incredible Napolitano place although not a clue where we were at this point. Luckily we ended up back in Navigli so was able to find my way home!
