Lucky

"Lucky" is the only cygnet to have hatched and the four other eggs on the nest remain seemingly intact and presumably dead. Meanwhile when the swan wasn’t proudly escorting his little baby he was harassing two tiny mallard chicks while their mother tried to shield them. The three moorchicks are now almost the size of the adults but lack their colouring and the moorhen is now sitting on her nest again and I think I saw a tiny beak so perhaps the chicks are hatching. On the other lake the little outcast gosling was nowhere to be seen among his nine grazing siblings which have lost their fluffiness and are fairly big.
