The Phoenix Rises

Glass half full.

Day 2 of the "holiday".

Drove to pick up Father and drove to Edinburgh Royal to visit an old chum of his.

An adventure!

Parking on double yellow lines, with the permission of the parking attendant, curtesy of a disabled badge of my Fathers. Unfortunately I did feel guilty after yesterday when returning to it to find a copycat parker, had a ticket attached to his windscreen, but he was minus a blue badge.

Having to park up the hill as all disabled bays taken, Dad and I had an assault course to get through before we got into the hospital. Yes I should have dropped him off at the door!

Eventually after vivisting 3 different wards, to try and find him, Dad phoned the wife of the pal, to find out his real name was not Graham, but Thomas. He's only known his for 30 years!

After pushing Dad on the stroller around the corridors of ERI, then driving him home, I returned home to the invalid Ali.
After a round trip of over 100 miles, I am a bit shattered, but Dad was very grateful and happy to have seen his chum, it was all worth it and a bit "Fun".

Just don't ask how my back is.

Still half fool.

Oh and as for the blip?

Curlyfries bike ground to a halt in November last year. Was given a ball bearing to measure with special techy calipers at school.
He brought the sizes home yesterday after school and Ali went online to order them at approx 16.00 hours.
They arrived in the post this morning at 11.13 hours.
Absolutely stunning service.

I wonder when they will make it into the budding engineer's bike pedals?
:-)
