Gently down the stream

Vista

This is a long view from the garden at Hinton Ampner, a National Trust property on the edge of the South Downs. It looks down a narrow grass path past the mock orange bushes (you'll have to imagine the smell) and on down an avenue of limes in the park, to the obelisk at the bottom. Really quite romantic, only people would keep popping out from the shrubbery and standing between me and the critturs. Still, as you see, we got there in the end..

Apart from that, the biggest thing that's happened in my life today is breaking the glass in my cafetiere :( - a crisis that wasn't allowed to last for long, as I can't do without my breakfast coffee!

Enjoy your weekend.. xx
