Free As A Bird

As I walked down the Roman road towards the ancient chapel at Bradwell-on-Sea I heard the corn bunting jangling as usual. It flew from its usual perch in a dead tree and and landed on top of the field of corn and I got pics of it tucking in.

I then got shots of a large family of whitethroats cavorting in the sunshine.

I pushed my way through the thistles, mallow and sea cabbage on the seawall and stood on top of the pillbox, hoping to get swallows in flight pics. I saw very little of them. Maybe their brood has fledged?

I have posted this pic because I feel as free as a bird when I'm here. :)
