Third Year Abroad

Oddly enough spent Wednesday morning at a cemetery , which is supposedly meant to be one of the top things to do in Milan, its just that no one seems to know about it. Its absolutely beautiful, I had real difficulty choosing one photo because there was so much to see. The whole place is covered in statues and monuments (reminded me slightly of the weeping angels from Doctor Who), there's even a replica of the Last Supper in one corner. Its an eclectic mix of very religious portrayals to obelisks and pyramids, with angels all over the place. One of the oddest we found seemed to be portraying the myth of Perseus and Medusa except that Perseus was wearing an old-school style aviator hat and clutching a propeller. Interesting. Also found Manzoni's tomb inside the main building, the room its in is absolutely stunning mainly because of the vibrant blue on the ceiling. The whole place was just quite stunning.
