Heron

I had a number of tasks to undertake in Chippenham, including viewing externally an auction property of which more later, and ended up walking beside the River Avon in Monkton Park. I noticed this grey heron in the shadows on the riverbank close to a footbridge, and managed one shot of it before it made its cry and winged away. I followed it visually, panning with my camera, and this was the result.
