Great Black-back gulls on Triangle point

Great Black-backed Gull
Larus marinus

We came here to study the faults and folds in the Devonian limestones and shales. The fault leaves the interesting rock points sticking out of the sea all along the Meadfoot beach area (Torquay) from Daddy's hole across Triangle point and then curves round to Hope's nose.

The sea was dead calm with hardly a breath of wind. Perfect weather for a quiet day on the English Riveira.
