Learning day by day

Pretty new dress

William had his lunch at big school today. He did very well, although I caught his tray once as did Mrs. W one of the year5/6 teachers. He chose sausages, rice and sweetcorn and then added a bit of lettuce as well. For pudding he had jelly and a oaty looking biscuit. He did take a while to eat but he was distracted waving at all the kids he knew. Our childminders daughter made his day by sitting at our table. There had been tears this morning when I had explained that she wouldn't be there when he starts in September as she will have gone on to big, big school.

After lunch we went into town to let Daddy have a rest and William requested we go for a coffee and do some maths! Ok, so that is what we did and then we wandered home to collect Carys from school.

At the weekend Carys's ballet teacher emailed me to ask if I would consider her doing two classes a week and would she be able to attend the 5.30 class on a Tuesday? After discussing between ourselves we discussed it with Carys and (obviously) she jumped at the chance. What she didn't realise until tonight, was that the Tuesday class is a Grade 3 class. But no need to worry, she came out bouncing. So she will do Grade 3 on a Tuesday and Grade 2 on a Thursday.
