Throwing in the trowel

The building trades are all a mystery; I've tried to plaster, drill and hammer, I've worked a plane and tried my hand at joints, even done the odd bit of plumbing and electrical work. But I'm rubbish. The masonic symbols, from trestleboard to rough ashlar, are all Greek to me. So when I come home and see what's been done without fuss and walked away from at the end of the day - well I give up. I'll never be a maker and fixer of things ...

So day two of the kitchen work and a very strange day at work as well; things feel unreal. Lots of news and gossip in the air. All change, all change ...
