Orkney - Sylvan Scene

Although pressure is High the anticyclone is continually dragging lots of grey cloudy weather our way from the north west. Frustrating.

This is CMC and her sister taking a spin round our local walk. They have just walked past the potential to go on an Orcadian 'Woodland Walk' (signposted); it can be completed in two minutes. The road leads up to the Gyre Farm and then the preferred route is down to the Orkneyinga Saga Centre and home along the cliff top.

It was worth the efforst today as CMC has just made a fresh batch of buns.

Neil has just arrived to tell us the kye will be arriving today so we are going to shift the sheep to a paddock in front of the house.

Met Frankie on Stromness Pierhead last night and he appears none the worse for his 'turn' the other night.
