Orphir Community Cafe

The cafe meets every Thursday between 10.00 a.m. until mid-day. A big attraction is the opportunity to buy a copy of the Orcadian without having to go to the Toon. A bigger attraction is the selection of cakes /scones etc. Everyone gets an individual pot of tea or cafetierre.

Proceeds go towards the Kirk Funds, Fair Trade goods are also available. The cafe has really taken a trick and is really well supported. Folk even come along from outwith the Parish!

Today's star turn was Jackie Corsie who used to be the Orphir Smiddy. He has an excellent wit, the eyesight of a hawk and arives in his own car - all at 93.
