Sitting on a nettle to get the shot! ***** !!!! BUT looking down I thought it would be okay wearing jeans ...well no, am telling you now that all is not good down there! Be impressed on the focus then :))

Tigers....well there aren't many of those around in Gloucestershire. However the Scarlet Tiger moth is pretty amazing. Colourful but hiding in the green stems I only saw it as I was trying to capture a pyramid orchid. It's black fore-wings, spotted with white and orange, have a metallic sheen, while the scarlet hind-wings and abdomen, marked with black, scare off predators. I always think wings look like cloaks and this one is no exception. A blue ruff or collar with the black velvet draping down the back with bright colours for a pattern - lovely!
