Popping

This small, very tiny tortoiseshell butterfly, popped into view this morning as it cruised amongst the lavender.

I really love the way the tiny blue spots on the edge of it's wings tone so well with the purply blue hues of the lavender and the way the orange just POPS! Brilliant and vibrant with almost a neon glow, I was transfixed with it's beauty; so very perfectly formed. However, not so transfixed that I couldn't run for the camera!
