Large Heath

This week I have been learning the difference between a large Heath butterfly and a small Heath butterfly. This is the large Heath ssp Scotica which typically has no spots on the underside. I will try not to forget!

Lovely day here again and a relaxing time spent with blipper Wanderer13 and her OH. Thank you for the isle of Mull cheese we have eaten most of it already

We met at our local hotel the Grey Gull only to find that it is totally inhospitable and would not give anyone even a coffee before mid day, note to self don't bother going again for any reason. We therefore adjourned to the house for plenty of blip chat followed by a walk along the canal.

Dinner in the garden as it was sunny but breezy enough to keep off the midgies
