Grey Heron

Went to Dollar on Wednesday as part of an occasional group outing arranged by one of my friends. Since there was a group of us, he had arranged in advance for us to visit the excellent, though albeit small, Dollar Museum which is open usually only at weekends.

Wednesday was another glorious day and we had time to wander a little up the glen and then have a spot of picnic lunch before our museum appointment. There in the Kelly Burn was a grey heron, who was quite content to be photographed and would occasionally turn round as if to pose and give us a different angle to admire.
