'Happy Winter Solstice'

What a brilliant day.

The weather has been perfect, the Hawks beat the Pies and we were invited over to a friends house for dinner and to celebrate Winter solstice and have our own little lantern parade around the neighbourhood.

I made a loaf of bread to take around to have with dinner, wasn't quite ready by the time we were leaving so a quick call by MsMun to our host to turn her oven on to 220 degrees, pop it in and once we arrived, twenty five minutes later beautiful hot bread straight out of the oven to have with our 3 soups and salad. A delicious pumpkin pie for dessert followed.

Lots of laughs and fun tonight as we all sat outside around a fire toasting marshmallows and the six kids even put on their own little play for us.

Thanks so much to Fiona for a wonderful night. Next year a progressive dinner with a course at each of our houses while taking the travelling lantern parade with us.

Shortest day over and we're officialy heading towards Summer again.
