Restless

Campion was pretty tragic. It was too hot, too cold, too sweaty, too clammy and too midgie.. We tried putting up the tent in my garden but we were SWARMED by the bloody things. Absolutely outrun. We stepped out armed with midgie spray but it simply wasn't enough, just the crawling all over our faces caused the most discomfort! We tried putting it up in Calum's garden too but they all crawled through the ventilation 'midge-proof' grate. That meant that whilst we slept last night we were bitten to death relentlessly, no mater what we did!

At 3.15am Calum turned over and asked to go inside. I wasn't planning on arguing despite actually managing to fall asleep unlike him.

Fell asleep inside on the camp bed where we had a peaceful rest of the night, luckily! He made me breakfast and lunch between my second dose
of Hep B vaccination in town. I trekked home down the hill with tent, 2 very heavy bags of donated clothes from Calum's mum's friend, sleeping bag, camping mat and backpack. Never have I felt such like a packhorse/donkey!

A lovely night regardless of the restlessness due to our pestful midgie pals!
