Dreams

Dull, overcast day and lots of different events for me. I had decided to look for something 'different' and by late afternoon, I found it.

Everyone dreams, whether asleep or 'day dreaming'. We can have vivid dreams but two minutes after wakening we cannot remember them. Alternatively we can have dreams which are repeated many nights and we rarely forget them. Whether they mean anything is the subject of much study and discussion.

Most of us, however, dream about the future - winning the lottery, getting a job or a partner for life. We dream about whether we will be happy or whether we will achieve our goals. Speaking of goals, the England team dreamed of scoring goals and progressing in the World Cup, but ....

I feel that dreaming about the future can motivate us as long as it doesn't rob us of contentment in the present.
