Even Kimono-clad girls do it . . . . .

. . . . . spend time on their phones, that is!

I arrived in Kyoto just after midday day today, checked into the Motonago Ryokan and met the wonderful staff. I'm going to enjoy it here!

I went out for a walk later, through the lovely narrow alleyways, looking at the quaint stores and admiring many girls dressed in kimonos. They reminded me of so many brightly coloured butterflies. I did wonder if they'd been to a class - sometimes they had a young man with them too.
