The front yard now is mostly pavers in a beautiful, random Tetris style pattern and not the unsightly dirt patches and nearly dead grass from Before . View the during blips as well in search (use: tagged "during" by LovePopcorn)
In a pinch, when street side parking disappears (happens often and quickly in this older neighborhood) we will be able to legally park a car or two on our front yard since we don't have a driveway.
Obviously if I had wet down the pavers you'd see the pale colours easier in the midmorning glare, but another reason for having this done was to become more water-wise. Wasting water in sunny, dry Southern California (SoCal) is too expensive!
Maybe when we get the planned Korean grass, flowers and planters established there will be another more polished After.
