"Bentomiz"

This is a view of what is left of Bentomiz Castle looking toward Mt Maroma.
It is an ancient fortress built on a hill near the village of Arenas in the province of Málaga, at a height of 711 metres!
The castle site is thought to have been occupied by the Phoenicians, Greeks and Romans, although it is not clear which parts of the ruins date to which period.
The Arabs built on the existing structure and named the mountain, Munt Mās.
It is now a complete ruin and a local tourist attraction although to reach it you have to make a long hike, or you can as I did drive up a long and treacherous mountain track, only fit for goats.
