When I rule the world, I will invent a thing called the Internet, then when kids going from Collège to Lycée are at the end of the last year of collège prior to going to lycée, they will fill in a thing called a 'form' with one question on:

"Are you going to the lycée?" Oui / Non (choisissez votre réponse)

They will then go on their summer holidays and turn up to the lycée in September ready to start.

There is just one problem (well many) - this will cause mayhem in the collège :

Teachers no longer need to run around corridors looking for forms for a few weeks.

The parents will have to forego the filling out of mostly outdated forms in sextuplet along with 12 reams of paper photocopies of births, deaths, marriages, rastafarian communions and barmitvah forms.

The same problems will exist in the lycée where the said forms need to be transported by hand and where parents need to queue in well lit halls at 32°c to see more teachers who will run around with the said forms from the collège.

The said teachers (mostly maths teachers I will add) then need to take on an air of terminal ambivalence, avoiding any eye contact except with the parent's elbows and utter sounds so low a BBC wildlife microphone would have to be boosted and super-amplified to pick them up.

Nah, on second thoughts, the Internet would never work and just think how much unemployment I would cause ...
