Always a nice day above the clouds...

That's my motto!
This was taken high in the sky above Northern Italy. The Sun was beginning to set and this huge candy floss mountain was all lit up beautifully. Hard to get a decent shot through manky plane windows though! (manky=filthy)
We had a easy, uneventful journey to Stansted thankfully and got to the airport two hours before our flight. However it pretty much took that long to get through all the security and queues, we barely had time for a pre flight holiday drink...but of course we managed :-)
We arrived in Italy and immediately felt like we'd never left.
