Bridge at Saxon Mill

"I took a walk past the old Saxon well,
Down by the cathedral, I heard the chapel bell,
And joined the people singing for a way to go,
Where peaceful waters flow"
Chris de Burgh Where Peaceful Waters Flow

A footbridge across the Avon at the back of The Saxon Mill, on the approach to Warwick. Called in to check it out as a venue for a meal to celebrate K2's graduation in July. She couldn't have chosen a better location. The mill wheel was turning under the force of the churning waters of the Avon and the balcony overlooks the foaming waters as they swirl in the pool after cascading down the weir.

End of an era today as I took the 250 mile round trip to collect K2 and her stuff from the flat at Warwick. It's been an incredible adventure over the last four years, and will culminate soon with her graduation. Next stop, the world.
