Famed for marriages of the rich and famous, Chelsea Register Office is within this building, Chelsea Town Hall.

Wallis Simpson was married here in 1928, the marriage that prevented her second husband, Edward VIII, from making her the Duchess of Windsor and forcing his abdication in 1936.

Judy Garland got married here to Mickey Deans in 1969.

Neil Aspinall, the man who managed The Beatles Apple Corp, married Suzy Ornstein here in 1968. Paul McCartney, Ringo and Barbara Bach attended.
