On Gladders' Turf

Just back from a lovely day out with blippers to Gladders' territory. It was the Arnside and Silverdale Art Trail today and Gladders was exhibiting some of his wonderful blips of the Kent Estuary, the highland cattle and local wildlife so we decided to go along and meet him and Mrs Gladders and have a blipmeet at the same time. JeanneB53, Corinthian , Kiteseeker and I set off on a train adventure from Bingley via Carnforth and, having fortified ourselves with cake and coffee at the Village Bakery, climbed the hill to the Cemetery Chapel where we caught up with PaulaJ and High Pike and were pleased to see Gladders' blips beautifully displayed. It was also smashing to meet them at last although Gladders was kept busy with visitors and sadly missed being in this blip.

Afterwards, as the chapel was filling up, we said our goodbyes and took a walk to the top of Arnside Knott then ate our lunch on the front watching Arnside life go by, before visiting a couple more of the art exhibitions and heading home.

More Arnside blips here!
