A view from Jeanneb

Gladder's country!

Had a lovely day out today with fellow blippers Wendles56, Kiteseeker and Corinthian Column.

We took the train north west to Arnside on Morecambe Bay to see the Silverdale and Arnside Art and Craft Trail. In particular we wanted to see Gladders' photography exhibition. Gladders' is Arnside and Beyond on blip and he has a a superb collection of views over the Kent estuary and Morecambe Bay particularly at sunset as well as great wildlife and highland cattle shots. He is also well known for his lovely dog Gus who we sadly didn't see today but we did meet him and his wife.

Fabulous pictures as you will no doubt know if you follow his journal. We all so met up with PaulaJ and husband High Pike who live not too far away. Great to see them as it is almost two years since we last met. You can see some of the exhibition in Paula's blip and the six of us in Wendles56 shot at the exhibition.

My shot is of the view from Arnside Knott. This is the hill above the town which we climbed after leaving Gladders' display. You can see Arnside Viaduct below with a train crossing over the estuary and the Lakeland Fells beyond. Although we didn't have the sun you can see what a wonderful spot it is to have on your doorstep as a blipper!

A great outing and lovely to see everyone and meet Gladders and wifie and also Kiteseeker for the first time.
