A Big Yellow Tent...

.. has appeared over the garden wall.
It can only mean one thing... the local Lions are going to have their annual shindig. My next door neighbour is the host and to be honest, most people only turn up for a nosey (his words not mine!) They can get a bit noisy but never rowdy.

I was out with the dogs at 5.45am and heard another steam engine trundling along the country lanes.

I then worked on my painting all day, until 10pm.

Seeing and hearing these engines has made me want to get up close, so I'm abandoning work for a day and going to seek them out tomorrow.
